He just started Adderall (I've been on it for years so that was what I suggested to the doc that we try first when he was diagnosed) last week. The first 2 times he took it he did fine, now he says it 'tastes yukky' and that the outside of the pill tastes like something too, though he can't tell me what which I know it DOESN'T taste like anything. I can't go through fighting him every day to take his med. Any suggestions? He's not a reliable eater (sometimes he will say he is hungry, I fix him something, then he eats a bite or two and says he's 'full') so I can't sneak it in to his food. Right now I'm emptying the contents of the pill on to a spoon of yogurt or apple sauce but he still throws a fit and says it tastes gross. The first day he took his med he did AWESOME - it was the best day with him that I can remember, from the day he was born!! We were able to sit and play a board game, he was able to take a shower by himself without having to be told each and every step to take, etc. I also noticed that he slept more soundly that night, without the flipping around that he usually does, so I HAVE to get him to take it for his sake AND mine!!
