Teenager with ADHD - Can Kindle help with reading?

My 15 year old teenage son with ADHD has admitted to hating to read. As a parent that also HAS ADHD...I can understand his frustration....that is, with comprehension and ability to focus long enough to not have to reread passages repeatedly. I love to read...but after some soul searching and questioning, I think my son could benefit from following along with some type of text-to-speech reader to help with comprehension and/or zest for reading. Now, that being said, I know that his textbooks in college will not all be available in this format, but I am trying to get him to learn the best ways for him to learn, as well as more about what makes him successful as an individual before he goes to college.

Like most of your kids, he is very bright, but is having a hard time settling down to read long enough in order to study for his classes. Have any of you had success with e-readers?
