Less than one month ago my kid attended a birthday party where the birthday boy announced his wish in front of a party of over 60 kids that the kids in the class should stop being mean to my son and should be nice. When I heard about this, I was taken aback and not happy, as, if anything, it highlighted to those who may not yet have seen my son this way, that he is a bit of an outcast. After this "warm" wish, my son walks into school today, says a loud hello to this child, and this child completely ignores him. I'm disgusted. My husband said he thinks this kid just wanted to make himself look good at his own birthday party. I'm tempted to call his mom and talk to her about it. What do you think I should do? My heart is crying.
