I'm 28 years old and just started taking generic Adderall XR yesterday at 15mg per day. My psychiatrist, who is very honest and whom I actually trust (I've never trusted any psychiatrist I've had before) said that I could experiment with the dose as long as I didn't go over 30mg. So far, I haven't had any significant adverse side effects, and the med sees to be working to a degree. My question is should I, or anyone else, wait awhile, taking it at the beginning dose for let's say around a week, before I increase the dose in any way? Does it matter? Anybody out there who started at 30mg of Adderall XR who had never taken any stimulant med before? I know I should have asked my doctor about this, but I was too excited about getting the prescription. I would sincerely appreciate any answers.
