I tried homeopathy for adult ADD
Hello, new here and just wanted to report that I just tried homeopathy for ADD and I feel it is a crock. Made me dull, apathetic, irratable and not myself. I am willing to try anything so it was worth the money to learn that it doesn't work I guess. Just wanted to pass along my experience for the benefit of others. maybe it would work great for others but not for me. As a result of the experience I was able to kick my coffee morning habit which is cool.
A couple things that really did work for me though are fish oil and grape seed extract. They really worked wonders. I am also using pine bark extract but my limited observations shows it isn't doing much. I have a pretty thorough self test that I do daily to test what is working. Right now I'm taking one fish oil, one grape seed extract, and one pine bark extract in the morning. I tried tyrosine and it didn't work at all. Basically I have found that the recommendations in Hallowell's (sp?) book 'delivered from distraction' are right on.
I'm still learning but homeopathy doesn't work for me. I'm considering going with the traditional medicine approach (adderal etc.) but I may try to see how much I can improve just with the antioxidant supplements and other interventions such as more social exposure, exercise, and diet. Also reducing carbs really made a big difference for me.
