Trying so hard to make it and keep tripping and falling...

I have ADD inattentive type and Bipolar II. I want SO BADLY to run things and be an entrepreneur, but when I focus I focus on the WRONG things and the important details get really messed up. For example, I'm a singer and my "band" is headed in the wrong direction because of me... I book all the gigs, do all the advertisement, but OOPS! Forgot to make sure payment would be available and all paperwork signed. This week I'm scrambling to get payments to the players 10 days later. So now here we are getting ready to do a TV show next week, biggest opportunity we've had in the 5 years we've been at this, and GUESS WHAT! I'm more concerned with the rehearsal with the NEW band idea on Sunday than I am in having a rehearsal to perfect the songs we're doing on the TV show. WHAT'S WRONG HERE!!??? Why can't I seem to focus on the right things???? I've been called lazy. I've officially been called lazy by my bandmates. They're close to quitting. I have this problem with everyday life too. I forget to do things like putting away laundry, vacuuming, etc. and now my partner (who also is ADD, bipolar, OCD, and PTSD) feels like he has to clean up after me all the time. I don't want that for him and I don't want to feel inadequate anymore. PLEASE HELP with your ideas and suggestions!

We all trip and fall - have courage to get back up again.

I'm so sorry to hear about your story. It sounds like you're very frustrated and have increased pressure from the people around you. I hope you can take comfort in knowing that you are not alone. There are many people who share your feelings and battles.

Are you able to approach your band members, have a meeting, and as a group prioritize the activities that have to be done? You are not weak if you ask for help. In this approach, your band members may feel more empowered and happy to be a part of your team.

Are you on any medication? Whether you are on meds or not, you could benefit from a discussion with your doctor about meds and organizational skills. I know there are some individuals who oppose medication but I have seen very good results.
