I need HELP!!!!!!!

It has recently come to my attention (as I have started realizing it too) that my 9 yr old adhd son runs our home. My oldest (15) pointed it out, my mother, hubby, inlaws etc. I'm a strict mom, yes I am, but apparently not strict enough. I have searched for sites telling me the tell tale signs of how to know when a child is running the home (and not the adults), I can't find one. I need help on two things. 1. knows what the signs are, 2. how to stop it.

Some other issues are....1. can be openly defiant (especially in the mornings before meds kick in) - but has already been assessed for ODD and was cleared. 2. Argues over EVERYTHING or has a comment for everything!!! 3. Loses temper very easily when he doesn't get own way (usually gets sent to his room for that one). 4. When he gets timed out, all I hear is I'm so mean (which I know is normal), and no one appreciates him, or loves him. 5. The new one is he gets really frustrated when he can't do something right and calls himself stupid (and is visably upset) 6. Always wants to be the center of attention (no matter how he has to claim it). & Constantly interrupts conversations, and always complains about something (ie: "so and so" has more food than I do, do I have to eat that? how come so and so get that and I don't).

So here is what i have done so far in the line of consequences: 1. time outs (only seems to calm him down - not really teach a lesson) 2. grounding with privilidges taken away (ie; the wii, computer, ipod) for as long as a week. yet all I hear is I'm bored!! So I make him read, or play with this toys. 3. gone without treats due to unacceptable behavior.

The other things I should mention that really irritates me.....he always says "sorry! sorry! sorry!", but doesn't do anything to rectify it, and continues again, he's admitted to not listening. At school he refuses to follow direction, but only minimally at home as I try to deal with it immediately. I'm at my wits end!!!! and so is my family!!! HELP!!!!
