There is a severe shortage of every type of Adderall here in Richmond VA. -- and also throughout Central VA. Just yesterday afternoon I had a prescription to fill for 180 of the 20 mg IR's -- first tried CVS -- they said no CVS --- and no Walgreens, no rite-aid, not even Westbury Pharmacy, (which usually has it in stock), Target, or Walmart had any types of the drug in stock...and would not being getting any more in until early November, at least at CVS.

However, the pharmacist in charge did tell me that one of his pharmacy techs had called around to even more pharmacies, most slightly outside of the Richmond tri-city area, and also ones out of town, only the mom-and-pop pharmacies, the evening before, and found one place -- over 45 miles outside of Richmond, each way -- that did have just the 20mg IR's -- and no other formulations -- so he recommended burning rubber to get out there before someone else had the same idea and decided to take the same drive. I called on the way -- they had exactly two 100 count bottles left -- and also would not being shipped anymore til November. I told them, please, please, PLEASE set them aside for 30 to 45 minutes for me (they did -- I think it was because I was paying cash, not insurance -- and their profit margin is way higher for cash customers) -- and I did burn rubber to get there. When I checked out, the pharmacist joked with me that I probably just got the last bit of Adderall supply (minus the 20 pills left over from the 2nd 100 ct. bottle) in the Central VA region; she said she herself had called other pharmacies in her part of the state just to check their inventory status -- with zero positive results.

This sucks, because I don't know WTH I am going to do November 11 when its time to refill. Hopefully things will have improved by then. Hope this info helps.

(P.S....almost forgot to mention, when I asked the CVS pharmacist if there was a Dexedrine shortage as well (just in case I had to temporarily switch off to Dexedrine) -- he said, no, not to his knowledge. In fact, he checked his own inventory and said they had tons of Dextrostat in stock, as well as the Dex XR capsules.....
