I "lose" my cell phone at least once a day
If I am having difficulty remembering which home we are currently living in (I have lived in 15 homes scattered across the USA during my lifetime) so I know which way to go to find the bathroom and do not get "lost" in my current home, I am absolutely incapable of remembering where I last put my cell phone. I do not have any problems outside the home since I only own one purse and there is a pocket for my cell phone. Inside the house is a different story. It has been located in the freezer, in the garbage can, in the laundry closet, in the basket of dirty clothes, under the bed, in the bed covers, on a high shelf in a closet where I keep my shoes, and under the kitchen sink. I could go on and on but I am quite fortunate that my husband works as a maintenance man for the Federally subsidized housing complex we live in and comes home for lunch every day from 12 noon to 1 pm. 60% of the time I can visually spot which apartment he is working on. The rest of the time I just wait for him to come home for lunch or come home at 5pm. He uses his cell phone and calls my cell phone - I have downloaded an obnoxious ringer set at the highest level of sound; if my cell phone is in our apartment the last place I left is quickly discovered to shut that nasty obnoxious ringer off.
