Making careless mistakes all the time

Hi Guys,

Im 22, diagnosed with ADHD when I was young and struggling throughout my life hating myself, making mistakes and really struggling now. Ive just come out of uni and into my first job (Technical Analyst)but starting to get really frustrated with my attention to detail and making silly mistakes all the time. Throughout my life I have been making such silly mistakes time and time again and being so hard on myself. I was wondering if you guys have any advise for me? I try hard to do tasks right but fail to check or miss things, I feel like autopilot takes control and then a mistake has been made. Do you guys know any methods for improving this and how do you deal with it?

Thank you

Here is what i do.

Hey i understand what u are going through. I too make careless mistakes. With me it is not because i dont notice them, it is because i dont fix it right when i notice or remember. Another reason that i make mitakes is when i dont make lists. Write everything down! I put it in my phone with alarms that go off. When u rememver something u have to take the time to write it down. With everything that goes on in our heads at once, it is likely for us to remember we need milk at the store when we are in the middle of something at work. Dont be afraid to ask for help from co workers. Only someone u can trust. I had to do so. Its humbling, but once only a small portion of work was taken care of by a co worker, my mind was freed up and i could excell at the my objectives. Sorry for misspelling. In a hurry!

concentration

As much as it pained me to do so, I tried the medication my dr. encouraged me to take. I was very hesitant, but have to admit it helps greatly. I feel like me only better. I am able to concentrate on the task at hand and no longer have the feeling like I am in a fog.

Please do not be so sad, Every one make the mistake throughout all his life and tried again and again to get sucessful. You have to work with full attention and after complete it, once review it, is every thing accordingly. When you review it you will find some of the mistakes yourself. Wish you best luck.
