Has anyone here had any experience with NOLS? My 19yo is wanting to take time off from college and 'figure things out'. I am seriously considering their 30 day Wind River Wilderness course. Seems like it could be a great experience. Not only does it offer an opportunity to work on leadership & team building, but students can also earn 6 cr. On the other hand it seems a little scary, especially for an ADDer.

Any feedback good or bad would be helpful in making our final decision. They appear to have a good reputation, but getting an alum reference list from them is like pulling teeth. Also, their FB and Twitter pages are very controlled. PLEASE HELP!!!
