Hi there, my 11 year old son has just been diagnosed with ADHD and they are starting him on medication this week. The main thing with him is his anger and destructive behaviour ( he hits people, smashes things up, wrecks the house etc) He also says no to every single thing he's asked to do now and gives a cheeky answer and throws things about, for example i asked him to take washing in for me the other night and he went mad and threw my younger son's potty across the room then slammed all the doors and just refused to do it. The slightest wee thing sets him off and its afeecting everyone and my two younger sons are scared. Will the medication help this behaviour? I was weary of putting him on it as i don't want thim to be a different person, just calmer and less violent. thanks.
