Immaturity or ADHD????

I am a Mom of an almost 4 year old girl (she will be 4 in June) Since she was about 2, I have noticed she is different then other kids her age. She has been causing a lot of frustration for us because of her activity level and poor listening skills. We have a family history of ADHD, my husband although undiagnosed and two of my cousins. I am concerned she may ADHD but I also not sure if this is just immaturity. Our doctor is taking a passive stance on her behavior saying we need to wait a few years. But if there is something I can do now to help her I would reather. Her behavior has significantly negatively impacted her ability to make friends.

Here is a run down of the problematic behavior problems I identified:

She will yell, shout or scream for no reason while playing Cannot play alone for more then a few minutes Talks non stop - talked 45 minutes straight on a car ride Interrupts constantly- even interrupts while you are telling her to wait a minute. This is something we address constantly in our home to no avail. Alot of trouble getting along with children same age or slightly older- but does fine with kids a year younger or significantly older (6+) Trouble completing something- will start an art project. leave to play, come back, leave for snack, come back, go outside come back etc A lot of trouble listening- will do something we tell her not do immediately after we tell her not to Rough play is a problem- will get aggressive with other, touching, poking breaking toys etc The other day took a swimming noodle and bopped friend on head unprovoked and laughed Very difficult to get to bed- will bounce around house till 11 if we let her. Recently has started repeating the first few words of a sentence 3 to 4 times befor getting the sentence out.

For the experienced parents out there was are your thoughts given her age?

Hello

Kids tend to behave differently during certain age. See if it is really attention that she wants. In the end, do not hesitate to ask a professional to know the real caused of it.

My niece is about 3 and we are seeing some symptoms of ADHD. The doc just confirmed it also yesterday.
