Sorry for your loss

I am sorry to hear about your loss. You are right that ADHD people can easily get caught up in a disappointment. I know from personal experience that when things were bad they were really bad. One good thing ADHD people can do though is bounce back pretty quickly. You should remind him that death is an upsetting and inevitable part of life. It is something we cannot escape. The only thing we can do is honor loved ones in memory and never forget the lessons we learned from them. Try to keep busy in any way possible. In times like these it really helps to let our distractible minds focus on other things. Also remember that it is your loss as well and you are both in it together. Hopefully you both can take solace in the fact that neither of you are suffering alone. One thing you could do before trying to keep busy though is write a letter thanking him or her for all the good memories and friendship you had. God bless and I hope the best for you both.

Thank You Ben, I wish I could say that we were able to get to the Funeral Service this past Saturday but my car broke down and we were not able to go.

Thank You again for your kind words.
