a word of help
It sounds like you've been down a rough road. Having a changing diagnosis only makes it that much more difficult to treat properly.
Two different professionals diagnosed my son with ADHD before we actually "knew" categorically, scientifically, that he definately does have ADHD. His neurologist has a computerized program where he was able to track his impulsivity and head movements while on meds and without and in comparison to the average child.
This might be something you might want to research to ensure you're not misdirected once again. The more you know, the more effectively you'll be able to use your time to help him and to protect him.
Having a child with special issues is exhausting, lonely, scary, and frustrating. Every day can be a challenge. Keep reading and writing. I find it invaluable. I still feel lonely and scared sometimes, but then I remember that I'm not alone, and these messages help me get through the rough stuff.
