Coffee makes me sleepy -- I think I have ADD and anxiety issues. Advise anyone? :)

Hi everyone,

You can call me KSmi. I am 23 years old. Coffee has always made me sleepy ever since I started drinking it. That would prolly be 6 years ago? Anyway, coffee also makes my stomach queasy so I am definitely not a fan.

Until recently, I read that coffee actually has a calming effect on ADD/ADHD people. I learned about this because I got bored during a vacation trip and Googled why coffee makes me sleepy. LOL. After reading about it, I then asked myself if I have ADD w/o me knowing it. I looked at signs and symptoms, but I am not entirely sure if I could be classified as one. Sure I drift off during conversations once in a while, but that wouldn't be enough to conclude if I had ADD, right?

Next, does insurance cover trips to ADD doctors? And psychologists? This might be a bit out of topic, but I'm going to ask anyway. I think I also have anxiety problems so I was thinking if insurance would help me cover therapists' costs?

Just started looking at the prospect of getting insurance for my supposed (?) conditions. I found this http://www.medibank.com.au/. Is anyone under them? I was also wondering if you can tell me about your insurance covers that would help cut down costs on ADD doctors and/or psychologists.

Thank you so much for your time :)

My cousin also visits her doctor and she does not pay for anything. Regarding health insurance you have to ask if they have mental health coverage. It's a long and difficult road if you and your family do not prepare and educate yourselves regarding any health problems. So if you think that you may have ADD it is best to determine the answer as early as possible with a professional.

check out http://www.nib.com.au/ as an alternative to medibank
