Me too...
PinkandGreen....ummmm could you be my soror???
Our issues sound similiar but I was diagnosed when I was 34. Like you, I was a stellar college student and was very much on top of things in the college setting. I handled school work, sorority responsibilities and other social leadership roles with ease. But when I got into the "real" world -- the working world -- the person I had always known myself to be disappeared. I couldn't focus on tasks, my time mgmt skills were awful, as were my follow up and organization skills.
Also like you, my passion is writing. As you know, it takes tons of focus to commit to the act of writing consistently. I've struggled with this plenty as an ADDer. Now that I'm a mother, I'm finding it even harder to focus on writing. So between mothering a toddler, working full time and everything else in between, my dreams of becoming a writer are going down the drain. I'm a full time tech writer on my job, but that's not the type of writer I've always dreamed of becoming.
Kudos on working through the ADHD to press on with your writing goals!
