Do school have a legal obligation to dispense meds

My 11yr old son needs to take an afternoon dose of meds in order to get through the remainder of the day and to have any hope of completing homework once he gets home. My problem is the school he attends is very small and they don't have a nurse. The school secretary will give him his meds IF he remembers to come and get it or when he gets sent to the office from class due to behavior...someone usually will then ask if he took his meds. Does the school have any legal obligation to make sure my son gets his meds in the afternoon? Since ADHD children are so good at remembering things....he will never get his meds. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.
