Is refusing to stand up for your wife, even when he agrees she is right, part of ADD?

My DH has always refused to stand up for me, regardless of the situation. He has ADD, I do not. Is this part of ADD? If it is, I will have to accept it. This evening, he asked me what he had done wrong, as I had not been talking to him, and I replied that he did not stand up for me when our son was swearing at me, as I had asked him to do. He really got upset and went for a walk, and is now in his office, still not speaking to me. Yes, I can stand up for myself, but sometimes I can use his support as well. Please let me know. Thank you.

Elizabeth

I feel your pain

My husband refuses to acknowledge that he probably has ADHD and needs to test for it-our 19 yr old son was diagnosed when he was 17, my husband's mom has never been diagnosed but exhibits all the telltale signs, just like he does. Even on the simplest things, he does not agree with me. Nor does he take my side on really anything. It IS strange. He does not agree that he does not agree!!!

He will not partner with me in the parenting, especially when my son's behaviors are tough to deal with. I am tired of being the rules enforcer, but if I did not it would be disasterous!

Feelin' really ganged up upon, like I am crazy and don't know what I am talking about.
