8 year old ADD son with problems getting to the bathroom

Has anyone had to deal with problems with their child getting to the bathroom in time? Or even remembering to go or caring that they need to go? My son has had on going problems with this and I have tried all kinds of things to deal with it. Any adivice or experiences? Thanks

bathroom problems

My 8 year old has the same issue. He will pee in his pants and just sit in it for hours. Sometimes he poops in his pants too and just sits in it too.

not alone

Well, at least we're not alone. He always looks surprised that anyone noticed. Any ideas on how to deal with it? I've tried all kinds of things.
