Oppositional Defiance and Convincing her to take the medication
It sounds as though she has Oppositional Defiance Disorder along with the ADHD and slight depression. I have a 10 year old son exactly like this and he sometimes claims that he will not take his medication. My son and I use an elaborate reward system that involves his following through on all his responsibilities. He gets up to $5.00 a day if he does EVERYTHING he is supposed to do but he rarely makes more than 23.00 a week.
His list includes chores, homework, taking his medicine, daily hygiene, acts of kindness, etc. Taking his medicine is one of the easy things on his list and this will earn him a dollar a day. This has worked for us. Punishing him has never worked but reminding him that he would like to buy that Bionicle has helped him stay the course of pretty good behavior.
If this will not help you might try yoga or meditation for her, as strange as it is to believe, some of these kids become much more agreeable and less inattentive with daily meditation practice. You can find more information on the research behind that at: http://primarilyinattentiveadd.com
