My son, 16 years old, is obsessed with taking showers for 45 minutes, but doesn't change his underwear but once a week. My son, a junior in high school is obsessed with taking showers, using up to 5 kinds of shampoo and condtioners. He pulls his whiskers out with a tweezers. He is obsessed about looking old and steals my facial products to control wrinkles. But he only changes his underwear once a week. What can I do? Quote

My son, 16 years old, is obsessed with taking showers for 45 minutes, but doesn't change his underwear but once a week.

My son, a junior in high school is obsessed with taking showers, using up to 5 kinds of shampoo and condtioners. He pulls his whiskers out with a tweezers. He is obsessed about looking old and steals my facial products to control wrinkles. But he only changes his underwear once a week. What can I do?

When my (much younger) son was having some issues, our therapist suggested controlling his underwear. He had to turn in the pair that day to get a new pair (he was having accidents and hiding it). Beyond that, maybe a good hygiene gross-out/education lesson? That's a tough one.
