Wonderful school that handles ADHD with education!

The is a wonderful school that handles "ADHD" by simply educating the child. They uniformly handle students and bring them up to grade level.

First they rarely take on children who are actually physically impaired. They tell the child they do not believe he is really learning disabled, that he can learn but it will involve some work. They find out what the child is interested in and tailor a program around that.

Then they test to find the actual level of understanding and start there by clearing up confusions and bringing them up to grade level.

The students actually start to like school!

They also teach manners! (This often produces a positive effect in the whole family!)

The school is called Help Miami they are in the Miller Square Shopping Mall at the corner of SW 56th St. and SW 137th.

HELP Miami 13828 SW 56th Street Miami, FL 33175 Phone: (305) 752-4003

I'm not in your area-but!

and I'm not looking for a private school (because I can't afford one-there are several absolutely fantastic ones in my area that specialize in all of this that I really would have loved to put my daughter in if I could have afforded it-I couldn't I still can't and using those great schools for our kids can be a disadvantage in the higher grades)-However, I would sure love any particulars you may want to, ahem, share, about specific things this school does, strategies that work ,etc., if it's not frowned upon to share those details. I've noticed most of the schools that specialize in LD's, AD/HD's aren't gonna exactly put all their info out there for the world to see. I'd love to know more about what goes on, how common issues and hurdles are handled, that may be good suggestions to make (without mentioning where I got them) the next time my kid runs into a proverbial brick wall regarding school! Of course, if this is all proprietary info, can't reveal anything specific, etc., I do understand.
