Strattera

Hi, I take Strattera in addition to my Vyvanse because my psychiatrist said it would help me a little with organizing my thoughts. I think it does help as I can tell a difference when i don't take it for awhile. However, I think it is more expensive than Ritalin because Ritalin has a generic counterpart and Strattera does not, at least not at this time. It's been out for years though so I imagine the drug companies are working on a generic. I also have a friend with ADD who took Strattera exclusively for her ADD and it worked great for her. My psychiatrist says it works in about 50% of ADD adults. Hope this information is helpful to you. cmsreece

I take strattera for my ADD, it costs around $190 for 30 pills at 80 mg. I have found it to work really well and my wife says there is a huge improvement. It does need a little bit of tweaking, the affects seem to decrease over time (at least with me) so the mg need to be adjusted occassionaly. I have been on it for three years and started at 40 mg. I have to take it with food because it will upset my stomach if I don't.
