strattera side effects
My personal experience w/ Strattera was not positive either, even though most people I know on the same meds had positive results. I am sure the meds effect adults differently than children, but for what it's worth this is my experience. I also felt kind slightly not in control of my emotions and had physical side effects too. I didn't realize these were side effects of the Strattera until I stopped taking it and they began to go away. I had very serious dizzy spells, was often light-headed, and had bad tremors. Most of these side effects weren't present when I first began Strattera. It wasn't until I had ramped up to the final dose and had been steadily taking the full dose for a few days that they peaked. Everyone's system responds differently to different medications. I suggest letting the doctor know how your son seems to have responded. My ADHD brother was always on different meds than me throughout our lives because we both responded differently...it's worth talking to the doctor to find the right solution.
Hope this helps. It never gets entirely easy to manage, but the right meds make a world of difference.
