Reference problem

I was recently let go from my job as a teacher. I have also have been diagnosed with ADD which I believe that I was let go because of my lack of organization skills. I can not use my old job as a reference. How do I explain that to my future employers? What is the best way to explain my ADD to them and convince them that even though I have problems with paperwork, etc that I am a good teacher?

References

All professionals have some positions where references are not available, sometimes they have lost contact with the supervisor, sometimes a school or business has closed etc. Its only a major problem if that school is your only experience. Also I would not mention your ADHD (especially not at the interview stage) unless you are planning to ask for a formal accomodation for it. Also make a plan for how you will deal with organization in the future. You can get your students to help if you set your room up well. They cannot handle records of course, but they can keep materials neat and tidy. Also, if the number of students was a challege, seek a Charter, private or parochial school where the classes are smaller. Good Luck!
