Adderall and stopping smoking

I am trying to support my college age daughter who has ADD, needs Adderall to succeed in school, but who also wants to quit smoking. It has been hard finding knowledgeable advice. I found one older blog where others supported her experience: that Adderall increases smoking urges and that smoking decreases the effectiveness of Adderall. One post suggested slightly increasing the Adderall while stopping smoking. My daughter has not yet tried this. She has tried chantix for 3 weeks, but it made her incapacitated with nausea. Currently, she has stopped smoking and is doing OK in that department as long as she doesn't take Adderall. (She has tried Nicoret gum in the past, but always went back to smoking.) But she is about to go back to college and will have to do something in order to be able to stay focused on studying. What to do??
