Hello All, I don't know why I didnt think of this sooner but has anyone else out there experienced hives with the child on Focalin XR? My daughter started on focalin XR last school year and was fine, she was on 15 for this year, but then about Xmas she started breaking out in hives 95% at night. I would have to give her a benadryl and she would be fine about 30 mins later. She has also woke up with one of her lips swollen on about 3 occasions. Took her to the allergist and they couldn't find anything wrong after her being tested for 75 different airborn allergens.

I explained when I took her to the allergist that she was on Focalin and the Dr. didnt think that was it. but when i just recently read some of the side affect of Focalin they said hives could be one and swelling of the lips could be a side affect. I am thinking about pulling her off the focalin now, but she only has a week and a half left of school and she really needs to focus. but this hive thing is driving me crazy and I am trying to do process of elimination. Any suggestions?
