Inattentitive ADHD

I was recently diagnosed with Inattentitive ADHD. I have finally been provided with missing link in my life and I treat this knowing as a gift. All my life I have been labeled as a child having Dylexia and it just did not fit. Of course the self esteem was low and self worth at times even lower. Over the years I have learned to understand how I tick by looking very deeply at my life. I want to learn all I can about the IADHD. I hope others are out there who have been the gift of IADHD who would be willing to connect in this thread.

Sincerely, Terence

The initiative taken for the concern is very serious and need an attention of every one. This is the concern which exists in the society and needs to be eliminated from the society as soon as possible.

Adult ADD

I am glad you are looking into treatment options as adult add is very treatable. Treatment often consists of the use of a stimulant medication and cognitive skills training. Best, Adam Russo

on the road to success

That is awesome that you are getting into CBT. Thats Cognitive Behaviour Training for the curious.

I urge you to consider looking into diet changes and exercise to gain more concentration. My symptoms aren't as drastic now as they were when I was young. So I get by pretty well proper diet and exercise.

Good Luck, Your are on a road to success.

Everybody is a little different

I agree above on the diet. Medications work for some, but not everybody and sometimes it is a long process before you may get a result. Medications have risk and I believe you have to look at them and weigh the risks.

What worked for me was reading into the books and realizing how my story matched others. Read what has worked for others. Organize, and get yourself where you want to be in life. Use ADHD to your advantage. You mentioned it as a gift and I look at it the same way. People can't do the work I do and the ones that can I believe are ADHD.

Hope this helps
