Always Put Things Back In Same Place

One thing that helps me tremendously and both of my boys is to always put things back in the same place. I'm pretty good about this for most things. I'm still working on getting my boys trained to follow through .... Youngest one is 13, oldest son just graduated from high school (18).

I still have serious problem remembering, getting distracted, forgetting, misplacing stuff. Like when I come home, if the phone rings as I'm walking through the door, I'll answer the phone, put my stuff down. Then when I'm finished talking, I'll completely forget where I put my stuff.

At least some of our things are findable though.

Tough...

This has always been one of the most difficult things for me to follow through with. I can't stand clutter, but I know that I cause it by ripping through my closet like a tornado when I can't find something to wear. When I DO find an outfit, after much frustration, I can't get out of the room fast enough... leaving the huge devestation of what USED to be my bedroom behind me. Trying to follow through more, since I'm aggravated with myself when I get back home and see my room again...

Trying to Find Stuff ....

My youngest boy (and my sister) are both like that. Whenever my little guy (now 13 1/2) looks for anything in his bedroom his room looks like a hurricane swept through the place!

(by the way ... I still can't use the "Quote" button. When I reply using "Quote", my message is not posted. So I have to use the "Reply" button instead.)
