MY son with Mild Cerebral palsy/ADD

I am seeking help in different aspects. I have a MCP son with ADD; he is 19. He is bright and knowledgeable but physically limited. I have the impression that his ADD condition is worse than his CP due to the fact that he needs constant reminder of his duties. I want him to be successful and I am trying to help him find a career that fits his personality; although he seems to want things, he does not seem to understand the effort he has to put into them. How can I help him understand about decision making and effort actions?

I am trying to find a career that involves ADD studies to help him and understand him better. Do you have any sugestions?

answer to MCP & ADD

Hi, I'm 17 years old and I also have ADD and MCP. I know how it feels to be frusterated because I know my parents get that way too. My suggestion is to find out what your son is good at. For me, I get along well with people. I can connect with them easily and am a good listener. I am Christian and I hope to find a career that involves people and also talks about God. I have a question for you though. Did your son have trouble on the ACT? I am in all honors classes and am in the top 1/4 of my class, but I am scoring poorly on the ACT. I am a regular kid, but the ACT is a big part of getting into college. Any suggestions?
