advice for organization methods

Have you ever purchased the book add friendly ways to organize your life by judith kolbergy and kathleen nadeau, ph.d. It talks about ways that are brains think differently than people without add, adhd or combined type. This is a good resource to use or research on different websites on adhd.

organize by method

You carry a little note pad or daytimer to write ideas and goals down. If you get the thoughts you are hanging onto in your mind out onto the paper, it helps clear your head of them right away. Also it's there on the page to refer to later, so you will forget less. I have my phone call to remind me of all my plans and events, even to call the bank that day. Also, NEVER touch a peice of paper more than ONCE. File it or pay it or toss it when it gets to you. Good luck!

Just want to add...

If you end up using a notebook to keep daily notes and/or reminders in, hook it to something so it doesn't get lost. This can be a keychain if the notebook is small enough (the dollar stores have really small but handy notebooks that are wonderful at jotting down quick reminders), or any kind of string to attach it to your purse or something in your car. It's a terrible feeling when you write down important notes, just to lose them!!
