Where do you go?
OK... I am a little frustrated - My son (9yo) like many of your has trouble connecting and keeping friends - I don't think I need to describe his issues, as they are the same as y'all have described, lets just call him a 'classic inattentive ADD with associated social problems'
So, where do you go to find help - what we need is to really formalize a 'play and learn' approach where they can learn how to mix and get along with other kids (and not feel alone) but do these groups exist? if they do..... they don't market well on the internet... I found 1 but it is 30 Miles away in Philly and runs sessions at peak hour traffic. - Any ideas? I would think this would be a great forum to meet and build friendships in a structured and therapeutic way.
Hey also - why aren't there any on-line resources for kids? so they can learn and accept ADD and how to deal with it using on-line activities... ? Anyone know of these types of resources? This would fit right in my son's hyper-focus zone.
OBTW - I am in Montgomery Country, PA.
