When will changes be seen with Vyvanse?

My son is 7 yrs old. He was recently diagnosed with ADHD however he is not hyperactive but there is an attention issue. He has had to repeat kindergarten and is currently in 1st grade. He has had assistance with IU for the past 2 years for reading and math. All of his teachers had expressed their concern of him. So the past 1-11/2 years we have been undergoing treatment. We were recommended for him to be prescribed medication. He was given Vyvanse 3 days ago. In the past 2 days he has brought home work from school with a teachers note praising him for his work at school, he was doing everything on his own with no stress. Today he brought home his spelling test, grammer test, puncutation test and reading test. He got A's on everything. This has not happened in the past. He does get a stomach ache and a headache he told me today. The first day he was in the nurse's office. Yesterday and today he had a slight stomach ache and headache. So I don't know if this is coincidence or if this medication is actually helping my son in such a short period of time. Has anybody has similar or different outcomes?

Changes to be seen with Vyvanse

I am an adult with ADHD and on Vyvanse and I can tell you I saw a difference the 1st day too, it is even better when you find the right dose. For me the side affect did lessen, but again I am an adult. I would talk to the Dr. if you are worried about it. Good Luck! Tammy

I also noticed quick results

As another ADDult, I can say I saw results immediately on Vyvanse. I just started taking it last month, and do plan to talk to my dr about increasing the dose, but I saw a difference the first day. It was like going from a room full of 100 tvs, all on a different channel, to a room with just 50 tvs, and maybe half of them were actually on matching channels. Even on the lowest dose, it is cutting down on the clutter in my head, and making it easier for me to focus.
