Starting up a business with ADD

Hi,

I was diagnosed in the last year with ADD (im 30 years old). I am in IT, and because i don't do things "normally" its causing a lot of conflict with my manager, again. At least now i understand why. I do things too fast for his taste, and don't find it neccesary to work out every little detail of a plan in order to make a project successful. He is more interested in process than results...long story short, i want to go into business for myself. I have read that ADHD can be legally considered a disability. Based on that, i am looking to see if there are any special grants, loans, or other assistance programs to get funding for a business if i am "disabled". Google hasn't been much help with this one. I don't like taking handouts, but i don't currently have the savings to hold me over while build up a client base. I am also trying to make this move quickly, before things get any worse at my current employer. I may be looking in totally the wrong direction, but hopefully someone has some ideas.

Regards,

Adam
