Newbie Looking for Best Books & DVDs

Hi, i'm a new member and first want to say thanks for this forum.

I have purchased a few ADD-related DVDs that were disappointing and struggled through a good number of books that were simply too text-rich and/or long to hold my interest and yield real help. Can anyone recommend their favorite books and/or DVDs? Thanks

ADDAlan

ADD Resources

Start with these two books... 1. Add & Romance 2. Change your brain, change your life.

Buy these two & dont buy any others until AFTER you have read each one cover to cover and outlined them. Start with either book, but dont start reading the second book until you have finhsed the first completely. Go over the outlines with the closest person in your life (spouse, parent, sibling etc). Once you have these read & outlined go out & get any other you want. But these two are a great starting point, foundation etc...

Best Wishes. Eric

ADHD Book

I've read several books on ADHD.

My favorite book is "ADHD - Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder in Children and Adults" - by Paul Wender. I believe it is a great book. Easy to understand. It addresses common misconceptions regarding ADHD. It also tells how to praise/criticize ADHD children.

Another book I like is "What does everyone know that I don't?" by M. Novotni.

You may want to see if your local library has them, or can get them for you via an inter-library loan.

Good luck!
