right hemisphere disorder

If a student struggled for years, with unsupported ADHD, by virtue of the diagnosis, would one expect to see a right hemisphere disorder? I'm so sorry to be this dumb. Is that where that gap appears, between abilitiy and function? If authorities forced a person to go for years, without medication, and they had severe right hemisphere dysfunction, would it be possible it was to that point because of the neglect. Third way of asking it: if medication and other therapy is started young, could a right hemisphere disorder be avoided? I hope you all know what I mean. Is there a site I can visit to read about this topic? Thanks
