Mom of teen daughter w/ADD and epilepsy

Hello, One of my daughters (age 14) has ADD and epilepsy, and is also in therapy. We are a family of 6 and devote an exponential amount of time and effort on/with this child. Sometimes I just want to carry a sign that says, "Please excuse my daughter. She has a couple of medical issues which affect her behavior, and the very medicine that helps to keep her alive (anti-seizure meds), also has some not so great side effects. I am doing my best, and have high expections for my daughter, but sometimes the monster in her comes out in the least convienient times. I am not a bad mother, please don't berate me for the way I am raising her. You have no idea." Sorry, just had to vent. Recently a stranger approached me and told me I was a bad mother, and that I needed to learn some things about raising children. You could have blown me over like a feather. I am blessed to have 3 other children who do not have the issues the one has. But, I feel defined by this one. I fear my other children are beginning to resent me for all of the attention and time lavished on the one.... the one who tends to break my heart. Feeling a bit low, sorry to be such a buzz kill! I should count my blessings! Peace, ma2twins
