Question - Forgetful of what is said

Do people with ADHD really forget what they say to others, as well as sometimes deny they said it when you remember them telling you they did say whatever? I am not talking about just once in a while, but daily. Please let me know. ex. no I didn't tell so and so to do whatever, when I know he told me he did tell him to, because I remember him telling me, or saying that he didn't say something to me that I know he did.

oh yeah!

If I am not on my meds I can totally forget conversations. I would be zoning in and out so quickly that I might get bits and pieces of a conversation but miss others. Often, when I come home from work, my husband will ask me to do something simple, like feed the dogs. He ends up getting mad because he asked me to do something so simple but I "blew it off"...he used to think that I just didn't care. Now that I have meds, I have to remind him that I am low on my meds and need to take another one.

(I can't take extended release because they don't last in me, so I have smaller doses that I take several times a day).

Hell yeah...

I never say, "You did not tell me."

I always say, "I don't remember you telling me."

It makes a big difference and helps my marriage.

Likewise, I often never catch the important stuff, but remember minutiae.

"Remember the conversation where I discussed that my company may go bankrupt?"

"Oh, the one where we were in Panera next to the guy with the really bad comb-over? Yeah, I remember something about that... why?"
