ADHD and coping with post-heart attack

Does anyone have any advice for someone with ADHD who has survived a heart attack? He was terrified for a couple of days after his heart attack and wanted to make the necessary changes in his life, but now that a couple of weeks have passed he has just fallen back into his old routines. His wife is trying to be supportive but obviously cannot make the changes for him. He is not taking medications for the ADHD. He has a high-stress job which likely contributed to the heart attack. I honestly feel like the ADHD is making it difficult for him to focus on taking care of himself and making the lifestyle changes he needs to make. Has anyone been through this, or is anyone aware of any articles on the subject? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
