ADD and Blended Families

My six year old son has just recently been diagnosed with ADHD. I've just started reading, researching and trying to understand everything I can about it. One thing I can't seem to find is anything relevant to how to assist him with the transitions between home and his father's house. He is supposed to see his Dad twice a week but over the last few months he refuses to go. Nothing significant has changed with his Dad or the house but my son won't go. Coincidently, this is the same period of time that we have been working through the assessments and diagnosis. I can't help but wonder how,or if, the ADHD plays into this or is it something completely unreleated? What can I do to manage the transition now that I now about ADHD? If anyone has had experience with ADHD and blended families, I'd love to hear your ideas!

I Feel Your Pain!!!

My son is also six and has ADHD. It seems as if he gets worse the closer it gets to his dads weekend and when he first comes back. From his focusing to his anger. I also am not sure what to think or do.
