ADHD/ADD Boarding Schools

Yes, i find that some of these boarding school specializes in ADHD/ADD and Bipolar disorders. They have effective programs and different therapies for these cases. Parents should also play a role in the progress of their kids who have these disorders because it should be the family that they find love and care in the first place, the boarding schools are just extended help for them. This is a good related resource to read as well...

MomofAllen said: Hi, I came upon this thread because I wanted to know about ADHD more. I've only learned about it just recently because my 9 year old son seems to have signs showing that he has this disorder. If worst comes to worst and he gets diagnosed with it, I might consider taking him to a residential treatment. It would be hard but I just want him to be feel good about himself again.

I hope someone can still give me other resources that are as informative too. Thanks in advance!

MOA, I know how frustrating that might feel, it's never too easy to have an kid with ADHD (my parents are experiencing the same thing). My brother has that condition although he's a teen as opposed to your son who's still nine. My parents found a school for him although we're still observing if there has been developments on his conditions. Maybe you can try checking out http://www.troubledteens.com and perhaps we could share notes.
