Ok, Seriously. I am an ADD adult. But I have been told by many I have a good personality, or a quirky personality, or that I am weird "but in a good -fun kind of way." I ran my own business for years. I was a successful sales rep in another business for a couple years under a boss who had a big personality and whose had a son who had struggled with mental illness therefore she was very tolerant of personality quirks. She was laid off from that business and eventually I was sent out too. I have been on unemployment and looking for work for about 8-9 months now. I have had to endure these terrible online personality or "values tests" to see if you fit in to some idiots idea of what their business values in a person. As if you can get an idea of someone from these crazy tests! Well I have never been called in for an interview when one of these was involved. I have also been prevented from continuing an application process because of not scoring high enough on one. I am now terrified of them and am applying to either small businesses that don't have these things or state institutions where I'm sure these things are not respected. I do not see how this can possibly be legal. I am quite sure they are discriminating in many ways. I would think that the values you were raised with and your race and religion and also and DISABILITIES you have are going to come through in these things. Has anyone ever experienced this? On a similar note I am so discouraged because I feel that the whole world is against me and my type of personality. I have always been proud of my artistic nature and have found value in doing things differently. But I am afraid that this country and the world is so caught up in how we perform and how we compare to others and smoothing out these differences that we are heading away from equality and fairness and appreciation of the individual to a world of conformity and discrimination against those of us who are different. Not in appearance this time, but in personality and personal values...........
