My 13 year old ADHD son made the Varsity team for 7th grade. 6 weeks into football he was kicked out for clowning around during group exercise! The Coach made the announcement in front of the entire team and escorted my son to the office, telling him repeatedly, he was out of Athletics! My son told him to shut up.....I set up a meeting with my son's Advocate, Principle, Assistant Principle and the Head Coach. The Advocate questioned the Coach about what a B.I.P. was.......He did not even know what that meant!! Had no knowledge of my son's B.I.P. Needless to say, the Principle and A.P. got very defensive and said that Athletics is a privilege! I have many other concerns with the way the school has handled my son. His Advocate thinks I have a case with all that has happened. My main concern, my boys have a lot of friends at this school and they actually love going to school! I also have a lot of friends in the community, some that work in the District, and I am a Single Mom...........Any comments or suggestions??
