Steve Plog - Results Project

I found this website tonight and wondered if anyone had tried it or had heard of it. I listened to both of the videos under TV interviews and I thought they were great. Any little glimpse I can get of what it's like for my son is positive.

Interesting

I feel compelled to reply, since I did just spend about 20 min checking out his site ; ) I like the general idea he puts across that ADD should be looked at as a "gift", rather than as a detriment. My two sons are both very creative, energetic, thoughtful, happy,....energetic (did i mention that?). Only, I still must confront the fact that their impulsivity and inabiliity not to disrupt or disturb others makes it incredibly difficult for them to appropriately participate in a classroom, or in a public place--especially my 6 yr old (the 2 of them together...forget about it). These behaviors are not "learned"; not reinforced by bad parenting; they're not "sugared-up' all the time (or even much of the time). Medication has made a huge difference in the way they are able to function in school and for going on outings. This just further solidifies for me that the difficulty lies in the way their brains are "wired". I guess that when someone like the website author makes noise about how ADHD is just a myth, I'd love to loan him my kid for an afternoon (heehee). I bet the first thing out of his mouth would be, "when does he take his next pill?!?"
