How Can You Be Sure Your 5-yr-old has ADHD?
my 5yr old son has so many symptoms of adhd, his father has ADHD and was put on adderal as a child and became highly addicted to it as an adult and now suffers with drug addiction. I want to make sure that this is what my child has so I can deal with it in other ways then drugs. Some things I see in him is he is five and shows no interest in learning anything such as the alphabet reading etc but hes very good at putting things together and figuring things out. he has always had a bad temper since as long as i remember very physical with me. never focuses on anything..he also stutters and changes subjects in the middle of stories....rambles on and never stops talking ...is very attached to me and gets upset and aggressive when I'm not around...he talks in his sleep and grinds his teeth bad in his sleep and has been peeing his bed as well even if I stop any drinks sometimes during the day its almost as if he cant stop to go to the bathroom... he has a lot of abandonment issues because his father has come and gone all his life and i just want to know what it is so I can help him I feel useless to him and I want to help structure his life. I am very much against medication and i want to see if anyone has any ideas on what to do for young children suffering from this. |
