ADD and Tax Responsibility

Is there any help for eliminating my tax liability after i took over my brother in laws business accounting after he had an injury. He broke his neck, was already 1 year behind in fed taxes, now going bankrupt and I am being held financially liable for his debt. I am just diagnosed with MDD/AD/HD.
