Thrilled with Adderall

I am recently diagnosed and in my late 30s. I take Adderall (not XR) and am thrilled with the results! The "chatter" in my head almost immediately ceased and I am able to be present in the moment like I never realized was possible before. My anxiety is greatly reduced and my tolerance and patience are soooo much better. My whole disposition is calmer and more controlled and peaceful. One of the things about myself that I have always hated was my propensity to become angry and frustrated at even the littlest things. My anger was so out of proportion to the situation and now I have so much more tolerance and patience. I am the mother of two toddlers and this new-found peace is such a blessing!!! I know that this is drug is helping me to be a better mother, yet alone a better wife, friend and employee. I do have a few side effects....dry mouth and a total lack of appetite and some nauseau at times, but the trade off of positive effects is worth it to me. I can manage these much easier and more willingly than the ADD symptoms gone untreated. I always knew my life could be/should be easier to manage and function and Adderall has truly helped me realize this.

Beware

Hi there, good to hear that your getting good effects from Addreall but please be very aware of its implications. I've known a lot of people that suffered great losses from this drug. At first it is really very helpful but when it finally catches up with you (which is quite fast), meaning you have to increase your dosages, that's the time you'll see the badside. It is very addictive - it's an amphetamine, much worse than street meth.

Please be careful.

Street Meth is much worse!

Adderall can help to change an add'ers life. It needs to be taken responsibly of course. Dosage increase may need to happen but taking a break from it can help. It is especially addictive for those who DON'T have ADD.

Adderall is NOT worse than street meth. I was on Vyvanse and I still have all of my teeth, I am still married to a lovely woman and I actually look my age instead of 20 years older. I used to work Target security and have delt with meth addicts. Meth affects addicts much worse than those who take Adderall. Street Meth is made with household chemicals! It is much worse than Adderall
