This is my first post. I've been dealing with my son's ADHD for 12 years now, and it's been exhausting and frustrating. What I wanted to ask in this post, however, is how can I find a good therapist? He has seen at least 5 different ones, ranging from ridiculous (counselor had no understanding of my son's "knowingness" and treated him like a much younger child) to constant clock watchers, to the most recent, a psychologist who had to be reminded after months of visits that my son takes meds for ADHD. These particular therapy sessions were used by my son as a venting fest, where he railed against his parents and all the rules he was forced to endure.How can I find someone who has worked with lots of ADHD kids can offer sound treatment and therapy for both him and us? We live in Southeastern Mass. I hope someone can help me!
