Relationship between food and focus
Do you eat breakfast? That seems to help me a lot. Low blood sugar can definitely cause lack of focus, among other things. Try to put yourself on a schedule and have a small snack every three hours or so, even if you're not hungry. Keep it healthy and small, but see if eating more often helps. If so, then your blood sugar is probably related to your focus.
I've noticed that my symptoms get worse with PMS and in the evenings when my medication wears off.
It might not hurt to keep a journal for a week or two to track your symptoms and things like sleep, food, and water. It doesn't have to be wordy - you can just list basic symptoms and put a number next to them at various times throughout the day. Then just write down the times you eat, what you eat, how much sleep you got, and how much water you drank.
I do think being more aware of your symptoms is part of it. Once I was diagnosed, I began to see symptoms that I hadn't noticed before or had become so used ot seeing that they weren't obvious. Being aware is a GOOD thing though - it will help you identify side effects of medication, how your enviornment impacts your symptoms, and what you can do to alleviate them.
